Going into the New Year we are given ample time for reflection. Bottomline it's an opportunity to make good on the New Year. When single and dating rarely do we even consider that every new opportunity, every new dating experience is a like a mini New Year. It's actually a means to better ourselves and the experiences that which we are seeking. It's also a time for learning and personal growth should we look to our experiences in that way. Although we may want Mr. Right or Ms. Right now it's important to let the process happen as it will. It's a journey of self discovery with every new partner and every new date. Using the experiences to reveal some new part of ourselves is the gift. Whether it's discovering our limitations, our likes, our loves or even our tolerations it's a discovery process nonetheless.
Give yourself the best New Year's gift you can this year by appreciating the dating experiences you have no matter how many there may be or how they may turnout. Realize that with each new dating experience you are getting the opportunity to learn more about yourself and the person you would like to be. And you are preparing yourself for the person you ultimately want to be with long term.
The New Year is also an opportunity to practice positivity. Seeing the good that comes out of the dates instead of focusing on the disasters makes the process even better and more enjoyable in the long run.
Focusing on meeting new people, learning about them and enjoying the time you are able to spend in their company is way to optimize the dating experience.
